Lee Hodgkinson, CEO

Lee Hodgkinson is CEO of SWX Europe and Head of the Client and Product Group of SIX Swiss Exchange and SWX Europe. Lee has been a member of the SIX Swiss Exchange Management Committee for five years, holding responsibility for the Market Operations division, where he led the development of SIX Swiss Exchange's high-capacity transaction platform.

Lee joined the company in 2001 as Head of Operations before becoming Director of Business Development. He began his career in the Markets Division of the London Stock Exchange, where he worked for nine years and is an alumni of Harvard Business School.




Emma Vick, Deputy CEO

Emma Vick became Deputy CEO in mid-2005. She joined virt-x (now SWX Europe) from Tradepoint Financial Networks plc in November 1999 as Director of Market Regulation and Operations.

She has been working for the company since its inception as Director of Regulation and Compliance. Before joining, Emma worked for many years at the London Stock Exchange where she held various positions, including Head of Membership and Settlement Regulation and Chief Risk Officer.




Mark Ryland, COO

Mark Ryland joined SWX Europe in April 2008 as Chief Operating Officer. As a member of the Leadership Team, Mark is responsible for business operational activities on the ground in London. Mark has a wealth of industry knowledge and experience of global equity trading, operations and technology. Prior to joining SWX Europe, Mark was the Global Head of Equities IT at HSBC where he successfully led the replacement of HSBC's equities front office trading systems globally.

Mark spent three years as a Director at Merrill Lynch, where as Global Co-Head of Cash Equity Systems Renovation, he led the design and implementation of a number of strategic initiatives to improve operational effectiveness. Mark has also held senior positions at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette - now part of Credit Suisse - and UBS. Mark is a UK Chartered Engineer (CEng) and holds a degree in Aeronautical Engineering from City University.




Lisa Beckett, Human Resources and Support Services

Lisa Beckett was elected to the SWX Europe Leadership Team in 2007. As Head of HR since 2003, Lisa is responsible for the development and implementation of HR initiatives to support SWX Europe's strategic and operating objectives. Lisa has been working for the company since its inception, joining from Tradepoint Financial Networks plc, then became virt-x and then SWX Europe. She joined Tradepoint in 1993 as Assistant to the Board and its co-founders, and has held a number of key roles at SWX Europe including Company Secretariat Officer. Lisa began her career at the London Stock Exchange, where she worked for 5 years.




David O’Flaherty, Chief Financial Officer

David O’Flaherty is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of SWX Europe having been with the company since its inception. David is responsible for ensuring that SWX Europe complies with financial, regulatory and group requirements. David was previously Finance Manager at Tradepoint and then Financial Controller of SWX Europe. He began his career at Ikon Office Solutions plc where he trained as an accountant (CIMA). The last two positions held were Management Accountant and Regional Finance Manager.

After leaving Ikon, David joined Credit Suisse First Boston (Europe) Ltd as Assistant Vice President within Corporate Services and was responsible for the finance team.




Clemens Reuter, Director of Marketing and Sales

Clemens Reuter is Director of Marketing and Sales and Deputy Head of Client and Product Management for SIX Swiss Exchange and SWX Europe. Elected to the SWX Europe Leadership Team in January 2008, Clemens joined the Group in 2000 as Head of Equities for the ETF, Equity and Derivative segment before becoming Head of Products and Service Management in 2005.

Clemens began his career at Deutsche Bank AG relocating to Atlanta, Georgia (USA) as Vice President of Institutional US Equity Sales at Wachovia Securities, where he covered Austrian, German and Swiss Institutional clients. Prior to joining the SIX Swiss Exchange, Clemens worked as a Foreign Exchange Sales Trader on the London, New York and Zurich trading desks of Credit Suisse First Boston.

Clemens is a graduate of the University of Applied Sciences in Cologne with a Bachelor of Science in Economics.
