Product information
Spider lilies are easy to grow and produce exotic, architectural flowers from late spring to early summer, atop tall sturdy stems. They exude a delightful, sweet fragrance. Its blooms consist of large white, cups surrounded by six long, curled petals that give rise to the common name spider lily.
- Planting location: Beds, borders or in patio pots
- Soil moisture: Well drained, Soil pH: Neutral
- Flowering period: June-August, Planting period: March - May
- Dig soil improver and bone meal and plenty of horticultural grit into the planting hole before planting. Plant the bulbs with the tops just above the soil line. Dead head as flowers fade. Water freely in summer and feed with a liquid fertiliser every few weeks. Lift and dry the bulbs in autumn before the first frost and store somewhere dry and frost free over winter.
